Yippeee my first blog!

I’m so excited to join the blog world. I’m very new to this and still in the learning process so please bear with me, here goes…

Well much to my surprise I’m now enjoying a country lifestyle after moving 6 months ago from the exciting and beautiful city of Vancouver, BC to a little country town in Southern Alberta. The choice wasn’t really mine.  After 4 years God finally convinced me to leave my beloved Vancouver and move here to start a new adventure. Yes at times I miss my family, friends & church as well as my gorgeous condo with a stunning view and great sunsets but I’m falling in love with my sweet and cozy home.  I have great plans for my charming country cottage and will blog the ongoing makeover.  I also now have my parents & sister close by for the first time in 25 years so that is a blessing!

Right now I’m in the process of building an art studio right it my big old backyard and can’t wait to unpack my supplies and creations that I haven’t seen for 9 months, way too much time to be out of the studio. I’m so antsy to get back to work, my creative juices are bubbling over. Hope it’s ready by Christmas so I can get to work on my new Etsy shop and my first “Vintage Pretty” Décor, Craft and Collectible Sale (Spring 2008).

One of my many passions is creating, actually recreating, restoring and restyling. I just love a good makeover. I make over people (esthetician), homes (decorator), and other peoples throw-aways (artist/crafter). My favourite places for inspiration are antique shops, flea markets, thrift stores and fashion boutiques. I love all things old and anything pretty. I love the potential in hunted treasures and believe in my heart of hearts that all things can be restored or restyled into something even better.

I love serendipitous surprises and I believe God has planned this one completely redirecting my destiny. I believe I’m now on the correct path for my life and just excited to see where He’s leading me. Welcome to my journey.
