Best Antique Shopping in the USA
Need your help...quick post to ask the question, what town/city has some of the best antique shopping in the USA? I'd like to plan a vacation and since my fav thing to do on vacation is antique shop I'd like to head somewhere with great antique shopping. I love anything rustic, worn, torn & tattered, not the highly polished antiques. If anyone has some suggestions please leave me a comment. THANKS!
Have a Pretty! day,
Laura

How about the Endless Yard Sale that takes place in August and runs through multiple states - something like TN through GA - I can't remember specifically but they have a website I believe.

I don't know where to send you, but I will remind you that the small town thrift stores often have undiscovered treasures if you're willing to sort through the junk!
Have a great day!

You should go to Brimfield, Mass. in May....I think if you Google it you'll find out all about it. It's an amazing weekend flea market. I think I've even Martha Stewart talk about how awesome it is there!

I am with Lori and Heidi, and it isn't Chicago. There is a nice town called Long Grove in IL and one called Galena, but I haven't been to either. We're supposed to go to Galena in a couple of weeks, so I'll let you know if its good :)

I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but am originally from the deep south. Traditionally, New Orleans is the place to go. However, if you are looking for something unusual and fun, check out the eastern shore in Alabama. Fairhope is an absolutely charming place on Mobile Bay with an abundance of shops and antiques. The Grand Hotel is in Point Clear which is nextdoor to Fairhope. Downtown Fairhope is absolutely charming and is walking distance from the bay. I remember a huge antique store on the highway on the way to Fairhope called the Ponderosa. Also, Mobile has and abundance of quality interior design shops and antique stores.
The seafood in that area is terriffic.
Fairhope is very close to Gulf Shores where the beaches are sugar white and wonderful.
Wishing you a great week!

I just came across your site, since Sara just re-did my blog as well.
I think right here in Kane County for the monthly Flea Market.
Fab Finds always!

Well Rochester, NY has the best antique co-ops ever but I'm not sure I'd recommend a vacation here. Next time I go visit relatives I'm going to go crazy shopping again!

Well I would say you need to come to Kentucky. Not only is the selection pretty good BUT the prices are better.
Louisville as your base and there are a lot of places in a 100 mile radius of here.
Hope to see you soon!

Frederick, MD has lots of fun little shops...and there are tons of small towns with more antique shops all around. And since it's so close to DC, you can go there too!

I would have to say my fav spot is SOuthern california. Every weekend in So. Cali there is a flea market..2nd Sunday is Rose Bowl Flea M., 3rd sunday is Long Beach(my favorite of all!) and then there are some in Santa Monica and another one that I can't remember at the moment. I went there last summer to LBeach and bought up so much stuff for Art Unraveled. I filled up the car! Plus, the weather is the best! Have fun!
